Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match against Al Wakrah.

“I am satisfied with the team’s preparations for the Al Wakrah match. We achieved a difficult victory over Umm Salal in our last match which was a great result as we returned to the third place in the standings. Winning over Umm Salal was not easy. Now we have to stay focused on the next match against Al Wakrah, which I expect will be very difficult.

“I assure you that our ambitions are great and our fans are looking forward to us returning to the top four. We have tried to keep the positive atmosphere within the camp and the morale boost we received from our recent victory. We respect Al Wakrah as they are a team that has good players and an excellent coach. They present a good level regardless of the results they have had recently. We look forward to playing at a level that is consistent with our aspirations as a team.

“We have players who are able to make a difference, and in general, every match has its own circumstances and it is important to impose our style on the pitch regardless of the opposing team,” said Younes.

Qatar SC player Khaled Walid said, “We are preparing for an important match against a competitor that has good players and a good coach. We are looking forward to winning and competing in the top four. We made great efforts during the previous period and continued our efforts to achieve the required results through collective team effort.”
