Al Khor coach Winfried Schafer and player Naif Al Breiki spoke ahead of their Tuesday’s 2020-21 season Play-Off against Al Shahania.

“I salute all fans of the club and I want to reassure them that we have done well during the past few weeks so that we can appear well and win the important match against Al Shahania. We scored five goals in the last match we played against Al Ahli in the QFA Cup. This is a very good and promising sign.

“We have great players. All we have to do is enter the match with complete focus. Our fighting spirit is our main weapon. Our preparations are going on well. We have worked hard and we have done all that was necessary to win the Play-Off,” said Schafer.

Al Khor player Naif Al Breiki said, “We will do our best to win against Al Shahania. Everyone knows that the situation we are going through now is difficult, but this is the reality and we must overcome it with all our strength. Our preparations were good and we have players with experience. Our experienced players have played many matches like the one we are about to play.

“My team has had enough time to prepare for this match. We did not wish to be in this position again, but many circumstances made us face these difficulties, and whatever the circumstances we went through, now we have a chance to stay in the QNB Stars League. My players and I take upon ourselves the name of the team, the name of the city and we will do our best to win this match.”
