Al Khor assistant coach Mustafa Al Sweheb spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Ahli.

“We have great confidence in our players that we will get out of the difficult situation we find ourselves in. The team is ready to play Al Ahli. Our aim is to get the three points. We must look at ourselves and at our results. We have nine matches remaining and we must collect the maximum number of points. We have to work more intensely and seriously.

“I have noticed a change in the psyche of the players, their enthusiasm, their ambition and their determination - it seems everyone now feels responsible that they have to get out of this cycle. We must be ahead of our rivals and aim to get the points from this match.

“We gave everything in our previous match against Umm Salal, but the result was not good for us. We hope that we will succeed this time,” said Mustafa.

Al Khor player Abdulrahman Mohammed said, “Our match against Al Ahli will be difficult. I think it will be difficult for both sides. We lost the previous match, but we presented a great level though the result did not satisfy us. I think that our best response would be to score points from the next match.

“At the beginning of the season, we did not expect to be in this position because we had good form and the situation was good too, but the current situation has become difficult for us. We can rectify the situation and we must do this as soon as possible in order to improve our position in the points table.”
