Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Duhail.
“Al Duhail have quality players, both national and overseas. They certainly have the ingredients for the big occasions. Al Duhail’s performance has improved a lot under coach Sabri Lamouchi, who is trying to take the team back to its previous level of dominance and therefore we must be ready. Our focus has to be 100 per cent so that we do not drop points.
“We are still trying to return to the top position in the league. I see that our results are not that bad, but there are mistakes and we must correct them and not repeat them. I feel Al Sailiya are capable of winning over Al Duhail.
“The team does not suffer from any major injuries as there are only three players injured. They are Mohammed Mudathir, Serigne Mbodji and Ahmed Hammoudan,” said Trabelsi.
Al Sailiya player Fahad Waad said, “We are ready to face Al Duhail. This match will certainly be difficult, but our morale is very high and we are determined to win and collect the three points in order to improve our position in the league table.
“Facing Al Duhail is a special challenge for me and it is very difficult. Frankly speaking, I am not satisfied with the level that I showed during the past matches with the team and I seek to appear at the best level in the coming matches.”
