Al Rayyan coach Laurent Blanc spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Wakrah.

“Our preparations have gone well for our clash against Al Wakrah. We are working well as a squad. The players are working a lot to reach discipline and find the required harmony among themselves. We have prepared well for this week's match. Any striker of a team is always required to score goals and the scoring of Yohan Boli in the previous match gives him the necessary confidence before the next match against Al Wakrah.

“We are up to speed with our new training tactics, but there are some players who are not ready and we need to equip all players through rigorous training and matches we play,” said Blanc.

Al Rayyan player Abdulrahman Al Korbi said, “Our next match against Al Wakrah will be somewhat difficult regardless of their last few results. We will enter the match with the best preparation in order to be in the top four. We aspire to continue our victory march after we achieved two important wins in the previous two rounds.

“Al Wakrah match is no less important than the previous two games and we must continue to work hard because we have not reached the required performance and the coach is working to develop the team’s performances on the pitch. We will reach the required level with more hard work.”
