Al Khor assistant coach Mustafa Suhaib spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 13 match against Umm Salal.
“Yes, we are ready to play this important match against Umm Salal. Our training sessions are going on well and we have worked out tactics that needed our attention. Collecting the three points is our main goal from this clash. Without a doubt, we are in a very difficult situation, but we have no choice but to win this match against Umm Salal. And we have to play this match with a high fighting spirit.
“We have motivated the team's players very much so that they have ambition and determination to win over Umm Salal, who are our direct rivals. We know how the opponents play, we have studied them well and worked on it extensively and we hope that we will succeed.
“We entered the previous match with a high ambition to win, but we had two goals in the first few minutes and this changed the course of the match. We tried to reverse things in the two halves and we were close to scoring but the third goal was decisive for us,” said Mustafa Suhaib.
Al Khor player Nayef Al Breiki said, “I wish that my team-mates play a strong match against Umm Salal. This can help us get a positive result. Everyone knows this situation that we are going through right now and it is a very difficult situation and therefore our match against Umm Salal will be very difficult.
“We know that these remaining matches are all important and we must get the maximum possible number of points to get out of the relegation zone. Our target is to give everything we have and do not spare any effort. I start with myself and we must give our best.”
