Al Kharaitiyat coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Wakrah.

“We had presented a good level in the last two rounds and seek to continue to shine and provide a better level and achieve a positive result. The match will be difficult and we have to show everything we have with the aim of ending the league in a good way despite the team's official relegation to the second division.

“We played a good match against Al Arabi and wasted many opportunities in front of the goal due to haste and lack of focus. The team’s training went off well in preparation for this match and we seek to continue brilliance and achieve victory.

“As I indicated, our only goal in this meeting is to play a perfect match to conclude the league well and I see that the players are capable of that. I have great confidence in them despite the sadness that has arisen from the team's relegation to the second division,” said Wesam.

Al Kharaitiyat goalkeeper Shehab Ellethi said, “Despite the team’s relegation, it was good to beat Al Arabi in preparation for a better match against Al Wakrah to end the season better. We do not forget that we also played a good match against Al Ahli despite our loss through a late goal. But it is football and we have to accept it.”
