Al Khor coach Winfried Schefer spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“Our squad will be ready for the Al Kharaitiyat match and I am very happy with what the players offer in training. However, I strongly believe that it will not be an easy match.

“I have trained many teams that were going through the same scenario, but with everyone’s co-operation, we will be able to tide over the crisis. We must know that the league here is not easy and we must first think about avoiding relegation and improve our ranking.

“My work now is to develop the players and avoid mistakes. In my first game especially, we have to get a satisfying result,” said Schefer.

Al Khor goalkeeper Baba Djibril said, “We can put behind a series of negative results with teamwork. As you know, we are in a precarious position now and we cannot afford to lose more points. We must possibly win all remaining points.

“There is no pressure on us because we are used to these situations and we will fight against Al Kharaitiyat with all our strength because we had lost to them in the first leg.”
