Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 13 match against Al Sadd.
“We will enter the game against Al Sadd with great enthusiasm. We are determined to have a solid game against Al Sadd. Yes, it will be a difficult match. Al Sadd, as we know, are described as one of the best teams in Asia. Playing against a big club like Al Sadd is not easy and the match in itself will be very difficult. Everyone knows who Al Sadd are and that they have not lost a single match so far.
“They have had the most stable season so far. They have the best offensive line and the best line of defence. Al Sadd include many distinguished players at the local, Asian and international levels. We know that a difficult match awaits us against a strong team, but let us not forget that there is nothing impossible in football. We always have the ambition and determination to do well when we enter a match.
“We have enthusiasm and strong determination to provide our best and achieve positive results. I hope that we will be fully focused and take advantage of the challenges the upcoming matches present. We aspire to win and get the three points, but getting a point against Al Sadd would not be a bad result. We must be realistic. Al Sailiya always take on the big teams with a different approach. We have injury issues with players but we are used to that,” said Trabelsi.
Al Sailiya player Abdullah Mubarak Al Marri said, “Al Sadd match is important for us, no doubt. And yes, it will be a very tough match. Al Sailiya are completing preparations for the match really well. All players are aiming to present a distinguished level against Al Sadd. Everyone knows Al Sadd have not suffered any losses in the league so far.
“We will look to exploit the great morale among our players after we got the precious win in the last round against Al Rayyan. Despite the absence of players - who are considered the pillars of the team - everyone is fully prepared and we hope that we will succeed in achieving victory. Like my coach said, nothing is impossible in football. We have to deliver what is required and we must be fully focused and look good so that we have the opportunity to achieve a positive result.”
