Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Khor.

“Al Khor are a strong team and have reinforced their ranks with new players. They do not deserve the position where they are in presently, if one goes by the quality of their players.

“I expect Al Khor to play against us with full strength with the aim of collecting points, but we will play for victory and will work to achieve this with all our strength on the field.

“The opportunity is still great for Al Ahli to return to the top four and our players have enough motivation to win. As a coach, I am proud of what the players have offered this season.

“I do not feel any pressure and I just have to continue working to improve performance and develop the team's capabilities in scoring in order to return to the path of victories. Our team is still good in the leagu, and we will make all our efforts to advance in the standings. The next stage is of great importance for us. Every match is like a final and we have to win it in order to maintain the current position,”said Nebojsa.

Al Ahli player Abdulrasheed Ibrahim said, “The Al Khor match will not be easy and all the remaining matches in the league will have its difficulties. We must prepare well for them.

"It is unfortunate that we are facing Al Khor after losing to Al Arabi, but we will do everything we can to win and return to the path of victories and to be back in the top four. We will be more focused against Al Khor, and we will work to not repeat the mistakes that we made during the previous match, and our goal will be to obtain the three points while providing the best level in the match.
