Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Sailiya.

“We congratulate the Al Sailiya team for winning the Ooredoo Cup, and regarding our preparation, it took place in a way that is optimistic in line with the importance and difficulty of the match, especially since Al Sailiya have a good coach who has great experience and distinguished players. His technical capabilities do not match his team’s position in the standings.

“The match will be difficult, as it comes after a break and witnessed the participation of a number of our players with the national teams, but preparations continued very well. The difficulty of the next phase is to play three matches in six days, which is something we are not used to.

“Therefore, in terms of the squad, it will include players who are ready the most, especially since we have been keen since the beginning of the season to equip the largest number of players possible,” said Younes.

Qatar SC player Nasir Peer said, “We have reached the last three matches in the League championship and all of them are of great importance because they are decisive and important to determine our position in the table. And we aspire to be among the top four the season, we are all set to fulfil that ambition.

“We will not give up on victory to fulfil our desire and that of our loyal fans, wishing that we will rise to everyone’s expectations. Al Sailiya are a good side and they are coming from their Ooredoo Cup triumph.”
