Umm Salal coach Aziz Ben Askar spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Sailiya.

“It will be a difficult game because we are facing a strong team having a high level of competence. Therefore, I asked the players to focus and take advantage of opportunities and continue what they presented against Al Rayyan.

“We are in a difficult position and this is what the players know, and therefore they presented a strong match against Al Rayyan. And the result was surprising to some, especially since Umm Salal played a big match and were able to score an important victory.

“As for the Al Sailiya match, I think that things will be more difficult and it must be. And to play with a high spirit in order to achieve a positive result that benefits the team in its position, especially since the team prepared with all strength and in high spirit, and we must play in order to enjoy and achieve a positive result.

“We focus on ourselves and not on others, and I am proud of what my team has presented. We can continue in the league if the team plays with this spirit and performance. The situation is currently difficult for us and Al Khor, and we will prepare ourselves in our way to win,” said Ben Askar.

Umm Salal player Ayman Abdennour said, “We were very happy with the victory that was achieved at the expense of Al Rayyan in the last round, as we played a strong club and came out with the three points. However, the Al Sailiya match will be difficult and it is necessary to prepare and focus, and we will play more comfortably to achieve a satisfactory result.
