Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 20 match against Al Duhail.

“My team is ready for the Al Duhail match. Our preparations proceeded normally, especially during the break. Some teams got rest, but we did not rest and went through good training as we want to improve.

“I commend the spirit of the players for their desire to improve and they are ready to work more for themselves and for the club. I am happy that we took advantage of these three weeks as we tried to keep the fitness level high and now we start to focus on the tactical matters of Al Duhail match.

“I know the team’s position well and of course we are trying to win the remaining three games, but this is still not enough to compete for the top four. There are Al Rayyan, Al Gharafa, Qatar SC and Al Ahli teams who have more opportunities than us, so it is up to them and in their hands, not us,” said Hallgrimsson.

Al Arabi player Abdulrahman Enad said, “We are ready for this match. The players are ready to fight until their last breath in the last three league matches. The Al Duhail match will be difficult, but we will go into it with all focus and strive to win the three points.

“We, the players, always strive for the best and I hope that our performance will continue like you have seen in previous matches. We are determined to improve our performance and provide the best during the remaining period of the league.”
