Qatar SC coach Younis Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Arabi.
“The team is ready for this clash. Our opponents are a good side. They are well organized. They have a distinguished bunch of players. They can be very difficult at times. Of course, we have to be ready to face them and try to get points. They might have lost to Al Sadd, but they are a good side.”
“We will try to take advantage of the good morale that prevails in my camp after our victory over Al Wakrah. That’s what we have to do in order to get another victory. We need to exploit the good form we have and stay focused.
“The team still needs more time to gel better. There is tangible development in terms of performance and response and, I must commend the level that everyone has exhibited especially the new professional player duo of Ali Karimi and Youcef Belaili. Their performances were excellent in the Al Wakrah match. We are improving day by day. There is great team harmony.”
“I am satisfied with the performances since our matches with Umm Salal and Al Wakrah. We have shown good attacking tactics and we have been good at the rear. We are currently working to correct the errors in order to be on the right path towards scoring more points,” said Younis.
Qatar SC player Ali Karimi said, “I am happy to be playing for Qatar SC. We, as a team, are seeking better performances. We are looking to improve team work and ethics. We are working with great co-operation from the technical staff.”
“Every match we play in the league is like a final and we need to fight to achieve a positive result every time because all our matches are important. We will continue to strive to achieve positive results. In light of the positive atmosphere in the club and in training, we just need more time to get to know each other more to be even more dangerous for other teams.
“My goal is to make a positive impact that complements the good image of Iranian players with Qatari clubs. A number of great Iranian players have played in Qatar.”
