Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 18 match against Al Khor.

“Al Khor now have a new coach (Winfried Schefer) who changed the strategy of the team. They appeared more strong and competitive in the last few matches, but in general the two teams know each other well and we have to play in a style to achieve our goal.

“The Al Khor that we will face now are not much different from what we faced months ago. It is true that they have some new players, but their style of playing has not changed much. However, it is clear that they have become more competitive and stronger in terms of team spirit and performance during matches.

“We are focusing on our next step, that is facing Al Khor, and we have to be fully ready for the challenge. We will continue to compete for the top four and we will see if we will achieve what we seek at the end of the season,” said Jokanovic.

Al Gharafa player Amro Seraj said, “Al Khor are no pushovers and they will definitely seek three points. The upcoming matches are more important, but our focus now is more on facing Al Khor. After that, we will think of the rest of the matches.”
