Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Sailiya.

“Al Sailiya are a strong side having great capabilities. They have many outstanding players, including Iraqi striker Muhanad Ali. We have prepared our team for a strong game, where victory should be achieved after we lost to Al Khor in the last round.

“We discussed a lot about the team’s performance, results and our last match against Al Khor, which we lost 1-2. I have confidence in the abilities of our players. About the causes of every defeat, you will always search for them without focusing on your work.

I know that our players have better levels than they showed in the last match. I must prepare them to bring out their best in the next match and the next stage,” said Jovovic.

Al Ahli player Barro Sidiki said, “The game against Al Sailiya will not be easy due to our need to achieve victory and get back to the winning path, and also because the need for Al Sailiya to improve their position. Al Ahli have a good group of players in all departments and they are spirited.

“If we start the matches the way we finish them on the field, we will definitely win. We must work to be better in the upcoming matches.”
