Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 19 match against Al Khor.
“We both are coming from defeat and are seeking to compensate for it, so we are looking forward to appear at a better level than before.
“We studied Al Khor and their improvement after the new coach (Winfried Schefer) took charge. That demands us to be more focused, mentally and technically.
“Usually, the change of coach plays a positive role, especially in the first matches as a kind of reaction and a desire to show the results of this change.
“The ambition and desire of our fans for the team to be in the top four are very natural, and we are able to do so despite the pressure it generates on the team. The club management is doing its duty perfectly and we have to do our duty to get the best results and meet the expectations of our loyal fans,” said Younes.
Qatar SC player Moataz Majed said, “All our matches are final for several reasons, the most important being our desire to regain the third place and play in the AFC Champions League. There is no doubt that Al Khor are a good team although they are lying in the bottom half of the table. However, we seek to put up a performance that matches our ambitions, enthusiasm and desire.
“There is no substitute for collecting points, especially since the atmosphere is excellent during training and everyone in the team seeks to double the efforts in order to achieve victories.”
