Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Duhail.
“It will be an exciting match against the defending champions considering we both lost our matches in the last round. We have played a series of strong matches in a short period of time, where we played six games within a month, but we are now in a good condition. We have an opportunity to get ready for the next match with the highest degree of concentration.
“As a team, we are keen after each match regardless of a result we get. This is done so that we create more chances to win in the best possible way. What happened against Al Rayyan is that we did not show the required physical level due to back-to-back matches. But I am waiting for a positive reaction from the players against Al Duhail.
“Al Duhail have great players and an excellent coach, but we can appear on par with our desire to win. Thanks to everyone's concerted efforts, we even have substitutes in full readiness to deal with for any situation that we may face in any match including the absence of Youcef Belaili. The important thing is the existence of a successful alternative and the spirit within the group. That is the most important factor for a team’s success,” said Younes.
Qatar SC goalkeeper Jassim Al Hail said, “All the upcoming matches will be difficult due to the fierce battle among teams to be in the top four. The battle for points is going to be intense. Our ambition is not limited to winning the remaining five matches, but rather to continue the journey till the end in the best possible way, especially as our team has played really well this season.
“For me, I seek to help my team-mates with the aim of maintaining focus and avoiding mistakes so we give a satisfactory team performance. In the next match we seek to double our efforts, especially as the atmosphere in the squad is full of enthusiasm, confidence and desire to win three points.”
