Umm Salal coach Aziz Ben Askar spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Qatar SC.

“We are focusing on the group and we will definitely miss Kayke (Rodriguez) because everyone knows him, loves him and misses him, and we wish to achieve a positive result, and wait for him to participate with the team in the next match.

“We know that it will be a strong match against a good competitor. They have a coach who did a very good job and they are a strong team having fast attackers. Qatar SC have lost only one out of the many matches they played recently. For us, we know our level and we worked on a daily basis to prepare for the match,”said Ben Askar.

Umm Salal player Ismail Mahmoud said, “Our preparations for the game against Qatar SC went off well and the technical staff worked in the morning and evening. This match is important for us. Qatar SC have players of high calibre.

“We wish Kayke returns from his injury layoff fast. He is a great player and has a high level. We hope to make up for his absence and achieve victory.”
