Round four of the QSL season comes to a close on Saturday with two games involving sides with aspirations to lift the QSL falcon shield come the end of the season.

The 17:30 KO at Al Sadd stadium is the QSL match of the week between Al Rayyan and El Jaish. The reigning QSL champions head into the match off the back of two consecutive draws in the league, and the squad will be eager to register a first victory under the stewardship of Michael Laudrup.

The Danish coach expressed his frustration that his side where unable to break down Al Sailiya last time out, and will be expecting a reaction from his side. South Korean midfielder Koh Myong-jin caught the eye and registered his first goal of the season against Sailiya and will be set for a big game at the heart of the Rayyan midfield.

As for the visitors, El Jaish narrowly bowed out of the AFC Champions League mid-week and will be eager to continue the good form in the league. Sabri Lamouchi’s boys currently sit at the top of the table with three straight wins and squeaked past Al Khor 1-0 last time out.

Young winger Hamza Sanhaji has showed glimpses of quality following his summer loan move from Al Sadd. The Qatari youth international could be in line for a start against Rayyan and will be eager to steak his claim for a regular starting place on the right wing.

The final game of the fourth round of QSL action will see Al Wakrah welcome Lekhwiya to Al Wakrah stadium. The Blue Waves registered their first point of the season last time out against Al Ahli and will be targeting their first win of the season.

Striker Maher Yusef is fit for this tie, which will be a major boost for Mauricio Larriera. The Qatari striker caused Lekhwiya plenty of problems when Wakrah played Lekhwiya and will be looking to make an impact for his side.

For Lekhwiya, head coach Djamel Belmadi expressed his disappointment in dropping points in the 3-3 draw against Al Sadd last week. Lekhwiya have started the season in fine form and have looked like the best footballing side in the QSL at times, and will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Qatari interntational winger Ismaeel Mohammad has impressed on the right wing so far this season. His pace will be crucial if Lekhwiya are to come away from the tie with a positive result.
