Umm Salal face Al Gharafa in Week 22 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 20:30 at the Qatar SC Stadium on Saturday, 10th April, 2021.

Umm Salal, placed 10th with 21 points, are on a high after scripting back-to-back victories (3-2 over Al Rayyan in Week 20 and 1-0 against Al Sailiya in Week 21).

The victory over Al Sailiya also ensured that Umm Salal, under Moroccan Aziz Ben Askar, will not have to play relegation play-off with Second Division runners-up in order to retain their place in the top flight.

The Orange Fortress have recorded five victories, six draws and 10 defeats. They scored 12 goals and conceded 26 to have a goal difference of -14.

Al Gharafa, meanwhile, are having a dismal run of late. The Cheetahs, under Slavisa Jokanovic, are placed sixth with 30 points  (nine wins, as many defeats and three draws) and will still hope to finish among the top four, just like they did last season. They have a goal difference of +3 (36 goals for and 33 against).

Al Gharafa had played their Week 21 match against Al Wakrah on 16th March as they had their AFC Champions League play-off against Uzbekistan’s FC AGMK scheduled in Doha on 6th April. They, however, lost it by a 0-1 margin through a last-gasp goal.

Umm Salal and Al Gharafa had played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of 2020-21 season QNB Stars League.
