<p>Al Sailiya beat Qatar SC 2-1 in Week 20 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League at the Qatar SC Stadium on Saturday.</p><p>Ramin Rezaeian (48th minute) and Abdulqadir Ilyas (71st minute) were on target for Al Sailiya after Cristian Ceballos (42nd-minute penalty) gave Qatar SC the lead with a spot-kick.</p><p>Al Sailiya moved to 26 points from seven wins and five draws, while Qatar SC remained on 31 points following their seventh defeat.</p><p>The start of the match saw exchange of attacks from both sides.</p><p>Al Sailiya, who clinched the 2020-21 season Ooredoo Cup by beating Al Rayyan 2-0 in the final recently, created the first chance, but Ilyas’ header went wide. </p><p>The Peregrines were dominating the proceedings with 60 per cent of ball possession in the first 20 minutes.</p><p>The Kings surged ahead through a penalty kick after Anthony Okpotu, racing inside the box with only goalkeeper to beat, was fouled by goalkeeper Claude Amine. Ceballos, with a beautiful chip in the centre, put Qatar SC in the lead as the keeper dived to his right.</p><p>Al Sailiya went into the half-time with a deficit despite dominating the first session with 62 per cent ball possession. However, they came back strongly in the second half, scoring two goals to clinch victory. </p><p>Three minutes after the start of second half, Rezaeian scored for The Peregrines with a stunning free-kick from a few yards outside the box as Qatar SC goalkeeper Jassim Al Hail had no chance to stop the ball despite making a flying attempt.</p><p>Ilyas handed Al Sailiya the lead by scoring a goal from near the penalty spot off an assist by Mohanad Ali.</p><p>Qatar SC’s appeal for a spot kick was turned down by VAR in the 76th minute, with replay showing Amine committed no foul against Okpotu this time.</p><p>Yousef Ayman missed a chance failing to connect a ball from close range late into the match as Al Sailiya notched up a comeback win.</p>
