Umm Salal face Al Sadd in Week 18 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:15 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Sunday, 7th March, 2021.

Umm Salal, who lost 0-1 to Al Ahli in Week 17, are ninth with 15 points.

The Orange Fortress and Al Wakrah both have the same number of points, but the former are placed ahead on better goal difference (-10 as against Al Wakrah’s -15).

Umm Salal, coached by Aziz Ben Askar, have registered three victories, six draws and eight defeats. They scored eight goals and conceded 18.

Meanwhile, Al Sadd, who beat Al Arabi 3-2 in the Qatar Derby in Week 17, already have 47 points, 13 more than second-placed side and reigning champions Al Duhail. The Wolves, under Xavi Hernandez, have 15 victories to their credit. They drew the other two games and have a goal difference of +54 (66 goals for and 12 against).

Al Sadd need to win just one match, irrespective of the results of Al Duhail or any other team, to take an unassailable lead and be crowned as the new QNB Stars League champions as only 12 points from four games will be up for grabs after this round.

Al Sadd had beaten Umm Salal 3-1 in the first leg of 2020-21 season QNB Stars League.
