Al Rayyan face Al Ahli in Week 18 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:15 at the Qatar SC Stadium on Sunday, 7th March, 2021.

Al Rayyan, under famous Frenchman Laurent Blanc, had improved from fifth to fourth position in the table with 28 points after they defeated Al Kharaitiyat 3-0 in Week 17.

Al Rayyan and Qatar SC both have 28 points, but the latter are placed ahead on better goal difference (+10 compared to Al Rayyan’s +7).

Al Rayyan have recorded eight victories, four draws and five defeats. The Lions scored 22 goals and conceded 15.

Blanc knows fully well that a top-four finish in the league championship is a must for the team to have the chance of playing in the 2021 AFC Champions League, having been out of contention for the league title and exited the 2021 Qatar Cup in the semifinal (lost 0-1 to Al Sadd) recently.

On the other hand, Al Ahli had improved their ranking from seventh to sixth with 26 points after defeating Umm Salal 1-0 in Week 17.

Al Ahli, under Nebojsa Jovovic, have registered eight wins, two draws and seven defeats, and their goal difference is -7 (21 goals for and 28 against).
