Al Duhail face Al Wakrah in Week 13 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 15:15 at the Al Duhail Stadium on Friday, 8th January, 2021.

Reigning champions Al Duhail are very much on the recovery path following a slump in form that saw them occupy a place outside the top four. The Red Knights, who have won their last four matches, gradually gained ground and improved from third to second position after their 1-0 win over Umm Salal last week.

Al Duhail are now on 24 points (eight wins and four defeats) and their goal difference is +11 (27 goals for and 16 against). Yet, they are eight points adrift of leaders Al Sadd and coach Sabri Lamouchi and his men must be looking to collect as many points as possible in their bid to retain the league shield.

Al Wakrah are ninth in the table with 13 points (four wins, one draw and seven defeats). The Blue Wave, coached by Marquez Lopez, have a goal difference of -4 (12 goals for and 16 against).

Lamouchi has at his disposal a large pool of players in all departments, such as goalkeeper Salah Zakaria, Mehdi Benatia, Ahmed Yasser, Karim Boudiaf, Eduardo Rodrigues (Dudu) and Almoez Ali.

Marquez too has players like goalkeeper Mohammed Saeed, Mohamed Benyettou, Cristian Ceballos, Murad Naji, Omar Ali and Ousmane Coulibaly to rely on.
