Umm Salal face Al Duhail in Week 12 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:15 at the Qatar SC Stadium on Sunday, 3rd January, 2021.

Umm Salal’s confidence is high as they have not lost in their last four games. They had extended their unbeaten streak to four matches by holding formidable Al Gharafa, who occupy the second place, to a 1-1 draw in Week 11.

The Orange Fortress, who were once the basement side, are now 10th with 10 points. Aziz Ben Askar’s men have two victories, four draws and five defeats with a goal difference of -8 (seven goals for and 15 against).

Reigning champions Al Duhail had stormed into the top four by beating Al Khor (6-1) in Week 10. The Red Knights built on that to defeat Al Ahli 5-3 in a high-scoring thriller in Week 11 and improved their ranking to third as well. They are now on 21 points (seven wins and four defeats) and their goal difference is +10 (26 goals for and 16 against).

Coach Sabri Lamouchi will expect much more from his star-studded side as they seek to retain the title.
