Al Wakrah face Al Ahli in Week 12 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 18:45 at the Al Arabi Stadium on Saturday, 2nd January, 2021.

Al Wakrah are seventh in the table with 13 points (four wins, one draw and six defeats) as they earned a promotion of one position following their 2-1 victory over Al Kharaitiyat in Week 11. The Blue Wave, without the services of injured player Isiais Sanchez, have a goal difference of -2 (12 goals for and 14 against).

Marquez Lopez’s men have a tough task on hand against fifth placed Al Ahli (19 points). The Brigadiers have six wins, one draw and four defeats with a goal difference of -5 (17 goals for and 22 against).

Nebojsa Jovovic-coached Al Ahli, who had lost 3-5 to reigning champions Al Duhail in the last round, will be looking to to back among the top-four teams as they had even led the table at one stage.

Qatar SC and Al Ahli are tied on 19 points, but the former were placed fourth on better goal difference (+8 compared to Al Ahli’s -5). Al Ahli thus slipped from third to fifth place.
