Al Duhail and Al Gharafa face off in a high-profile semifinal of the 2021 Qatar Cup, on Thursday, 18th February, 2021, at the Al Duhail Stadium. The kick-off is at 19:45.

Al Duhail qualified for the tournament by virtue of being the reigning champions of QNB Stars League, whereas Al Gharafa made the cut after finishing fourth in the 2019-20 season QNB Stars League.

Al Duhail are currently placed second in the QNB Stars League table with 31 points, 13 less than leaders Al Sadd. Al Gharafa are fourth with 27 points.

Al Gharafa, who lost 0-1 to Al Sailiya in Week 16 of the 2020-21 season QNB Stars League, and Qatar SC, who beat Umm Salal 1-0 by a last-gasp penalty goal, both have 27 points, but The Kings occupied the third spot on better goal difference (+10 as against Al Gharafa’s +8).

Al Duhail coach Sabri Lamouchi will rely more on the services of goalkeeper Salah Zakaria, Medhi Benatia, Bassam Al Rawi, Ismail Mohammed, Paulo Edmilson Junior, Almoez Ali, Ali Karimi and Eduardo Pereira Rodriguez (Dudu) among others.

On the other hand, Al Gharafa coach Slavisa Jokanovic have mainly goalkeeper Yousef Hassan, Tamim Al Muhaza, Moaed Hassan, Yousef Muftah, Koo Ja-Cheol, Adlene Guediora, Amro Seraj, Homam Al Ameen, Sergey Kanon, Jonathan Kodjia, Sofiane Hanni, Ahmed Al Janahi, Othman Al Yahri, Nasser Al Ahraq, Ali Al Omari and Abdullah Al Khatim.
