Mid table Al Sailiya take on third placed Al Sadd at the Al Ahli Stadium on Saturday. This is an important match for both teams as the Qatar Stars League is approaching its final three matches.

Al Sailiya currently sit in seventh position with thirty-two points from twenty-three games. After a draw against Qatar SC in their last game Al Sailiya will be hoping to get the three points in this game to improve their position in the league.

“Our last game against Qatar we talked about the positive outcomes with our team. we know that Umm Salal and Al Sadd are ahead of us so we are hoping to improve our position in the table. We are ready for this game and to play against Al Sadd is not easy,” said the Deputy Coach, Farikh Mussad.

Speaking about his team line up for the games the Deputy coach had this to say, “Only Dragos Grigore went to play for the Romanian national team but now the whole team is back together. So we will put our best team forward.”

“The upcoming game against Al Sadd is not very easy but what we are focused on is to find the right balance in the team. We are not the strongest team but we all play as one and that is our biggest strength,” noted Mussad.

The deputy coach was very clear about the motivation of his team, “Every match we play we are playing to win the match. But each match is a different situation and we need to find balance,” he said during the press conference on Thursday.

Al Sadd are  currently  sit third in the table. They are in high spirits after a pulsating victory against Lekhwiya.

Jesualdo Ferreira, head coach of Al Sadd is aiming for a second place finish and stressed the importance of the upcoming game. “Our target now is the second place finish and everyone knows that the next game is very important for us. I hope the team does their job as they did in the previous two games,” said the experienced sixty-nine-year-old.

“We can’t afford to lose points in the last three games because we won’t have chance to make up for it later on,” added the Portuguese tactician

Al Sadd have had many players playing in the Qatari national team over the international break and this effected the training according to Ferreira. “Today they have returned from national duty and that’s why most of our training was fitness training. We did not have our main players so we didn’t focus on tactical training as much because of this we were lacking team unity but this gives young players a chance to shine.”
