Al Gharafa coach Christian Gourcouf spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Shahania.

“We are going into the match with the aim of collecting three points. Our goal is to beat Al Shahania.

“Al Shahania are our direct opponents as we both are in the mid-table. We want to end the league on a winning note and that is very important. 

“That will give us an advantage in the Emir Cup. We have to show great enthusiasm in order to win. We also rely on young players to implement the team management’s strategy. We, the technical staff, are working on further developing them and we always try to give them opportunities to play,” said Gourcouf.
