Al Shahania coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Lusail.

“The team’s preparations during the break were productive; the time was used to ready players who had seen limited action previously, as well as to refine specific aspects of play and correct errors that surfaced in the opening matches.

“The upcoming Week 5 match against Lusail in Doha Bank Stars League would be challenging, given the opponents’ strong form and talented squad. The team’s ambition is to maintain high-level performances and secure positive results in the period ahead.

“The squad is fully fit and free of injuries, all players are ready and motivated to put in a strong showing against Lusail,” said Younes.

Al Shahania player Mohamed Surag said, “The training is proceeding with the same intensity and focus applied before any game.

“The break was utilized to rectify mistakes and focus on technical details. The team is approaching the match with a high level of concentration.”
