Al Ahli concluded their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League campaign with a convincing 3-1 win over Umm Salal in Week 22 at Stadium 974 on Monday.

The Brigadiers finished ninth with 26 points, while Umm Salal were relegated to Second Division after ending bottom with 20 points.

Al Ahli took the lead through Islam Yaseen, who struck with a fine left-footed effort from the centre of the box following a corner. Umm Salal thought they had equalised shortly after, but Michael Baidoo’s goal from Oussama Tannane’s set piece was ruled out following a VAR review.

Michel Vlap doubled the advantage early in the second half with a superb free-kick after Erik Exposito was fouled. Julian Draxler made it 3-0 in the 57th minute, finishing off a swift counter-attack led by Suhaib Gannan.

Tannane pulled one back in the 69th minute, but Al Ahli comfortably saw out the match.
