Al Shahania assistant coach Pejman Montazeri spoke to the media ahead of their Play-Off match against Al Kharaitiyat, for a place in 2026-2027 Doha Bank Stars League.

“The entire season hinges on this match. We have watched them, they are a good team with a strong structure, and it will be a very difficult game for us.

“The players are aware of this and we are well-prepared for this match. I think the team is improving significantly in terms of mentality and our current form. They have shown that in the last two or three matches. What I understand and what the players must understand is that we are playing against a team that is coming off victories in the Second Division and has not lost a single match until the end of season. They have the best defence, so it will be a tough match,” said Montazeri.

Al Shahaniya player Lotfi Madjer said, “Everyone knows that this match is very important and the entire season depends on it. This match is a ‘final’, as I said. It is about either staying in the First Division or being relegated to Second Division.”
