Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 10 match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“The players must now show their true form after losing the Amir Cup final and I look forward to seeing their reaction in the match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“The Al Kharaitiyat match is very important, especially since we both are on same number of points in the table and we need to win this match.

“For the first time in the current season, the team’s ranks are complete and I hope it continues well until the end of the season. The players will put up the same performance that was presented against Al Sadd or better than that against Al Kharaitiyat.

“We performed well against Al Sadd in the Amir Cup final and the same level could be repeated,” said Halgrimsson.

Al Arabi's Under-23 player Abdullah Al Sulaiti said, “Our current position in the table is not at all acceptable for the Al Arabi club, so the team is in dire need of victories. It is against this backdrop that we go into the Al Kharaitiyat match, with an aim to improve our position in the standings.

“We have to forget the Amir Cup final against Al Sadd and focus will be on the match against Al Kharaitiyat due to its importance in our league journey. We are aware of the difficulty of the match and the position of the team in the ranking table, so we will enter the field with full focus and correct our mistakes to collect three points.”
