Al Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 21 match against Al Rayyan.

“This will, of course, be a difficult match for both sides. When you prepare for Clasico of Qatar, it shows it will be a difficult match. We have already won the league, but we have the drive to end the season without a loss with two games remaining.
“Our mission is very difficult because we play with Al Rayyan first and then Qatar SC. And both of them are still competing for the AFC Champions League positions for the next season so it will be complicated and difficult.

“Al Rayyan have a very good team and they have changed a lot better with the new coach. They lost their last match against Umm Salal, but we are expecting a lot of difficulties in the next match.

"We will try to do our best, of course, to win the three points. Things are completely different in a  Qatar Clasico. It will be difficult because Al Rayyan always have an extra incentive against us, but of course we will give 100 per cent to get the three points.

“Of course we will change players because we have two matches in a short period and we need to change. We will try to avoid injuries because we have challenges coming in the AFC Champions League and Amir Cup, but we want real competition and we want to end the season without defeat,” said Xavi.

Al Sadd player Jung Woo-Young said, “We are ready for this match. A difficult match against Al Rayyan awaits us and we need a lot of effort from all the players. We have to win this match.

“We are living through good times so far and have not lost any games. We have the AFC Champions League and Amir Cup coming up, so we must maintain this desire until the end of the season.”
