Al Arabi coach Heimir Hallgrimsson spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Wakrah.

“We spent almost three weeks without matches and this is something that no one likes, but I thank the players for keeping the spirit and showing commitment to training, and we will be ready for the Al Wakrah game. I look forward to seeing the players' reaction after the break.

“Al Wakrah are a good team, but they were not that lucky. The break might have been good for them in order to assess their game and weaknesses. We will do our best to maintain our level and improve our physical fitness, so I think we will be ready after the break and I expect a strong reaction from our players.

“We now have the best options for players since the beginning of the season, so almost all players will be available for the game against Al Wakrah,” said Hallgrimsson.

Al Arabi player Mohammed Bader Sayyar said, We are looking for a positive result in this match. We seek to continue the good performance and achieve the three points.

“We are preparing well for the match and all our forthcoming matches will be difficult because everyone is looking forward to putting up better performance and help improve the team’s standing. We still have chance to be in the top four.”
