Al Kharaitiyat coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Gharafa.

“A crucial and difficult match. At the same time, there is no room for wasting points and we seek to ensure that the players’ degrees of concentration are at their highest levels.

“Our training had been going on well and I talked a lot to the players about this and the remaining matches in the league as our main goal is to get out of the danger zone. That is to move forward and occupy a better position than the last place. The team is currently in it.

“I told the players that we are going through a curve that defines the team’s path and shows some features of its future in the league. The last one is not to be repeated in the Al Gharafa match and the truth is that we are doing everything in our power through training, but sometimes there are some mistakes during the 90 minutes that negatively affect the course and events of the game, but we are working to correct them as much as we can.

“We are waiting for the return in time of injured player Pejman Montazeri, as he has reached a good stage of recovery, but he may not be ready to play this important match against Al Gharafa. Regarding national players, there are negotiations to sign two of them and Majed Aman has already joined training,” said Wesam.

Al Kharaitiyat player Majed Aman said, “The Al Gharafa match would not be difficult and it would not be easy to beat this team. We are well aware of the strength of Al Gharafa side, which includes many outstanding players, both overseas and national, and we have witnessed during the previous matches how Al Gharafa play in a collective spirit in defence, midfield and offence.

“We can win if we play with enthusiasm and determination, and we have to double our efforts to win, so there is no room for loss because it will complicate our calculations and we need full points.”
