Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 16 match against Al Sadd.

“The team worked seriously during the break and we took stock of the situation. No team can achieve good results with inconsistent performances. We did not at times produce our best when facing big clubs such as Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Rayyan. We are prepared well for this stage of the league. My philosophy in training is not to find excuses, rather look for the best for the team.

“Al Sadd are a highly-organised team that has an excellent group of players with high levels. They have not suffered a defeat so far. Everyone in the league is waiting to see who will surprise them by beating them. Al Sadd’s strength will put us under pressure,” said Jovovic.

Al Ahli player Jassim Mohammed said, “Facing Al Sadd will not be easy, but we are not afraid of the result. We are ready to face them.

“All our players are fully prepared to provide our best physical and technical levels on the field, and our goal is full points.”
