Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 8 match against Al Sadd.
“Always when our team wins a match, it quickly wins another match. But this season, every time Al Wakrah win, the league stops, and after returning we lose the match. God willing, there will be another way for a better start to Al Wakrah.
“We will strive to be on the winning path, which is what we all work for at the club, be it the technical and administrative staff or the players. I know that all matches are difficult in the league. God willing, we will continue to win.
“Al Sadd are a strong team and a difficult match awaits us of course, but we will definitely try. At this moment, Khaled Muneer and Ahmed Moein will be absent due to their injuries. Hopefully, all others are ready,” said Marquez.
Al Wakrah player Abdullah Hussein Al Muftah said, “We are ready to collect three points and all we need is to follow the coach's instructions and implement them. We know that it is a difficult match without a doubt, but we hope to succeed.
“Our readiness to face Al Sadd is like any other match, as the preparation was very serious and we know very well that we will face the team that is currently at the top. As I said, we are trying to win, especially since we are coming from an important victory over Al Sailiya in the last round.”
