Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 13 match against Al Kharaitiyat.

“A difficult match awaits us against Al Kharaitiyat, there is no doubt about that. But we are looking forward to producing a performance that helps us win. Certainly, we will face difficulty against Al Kharaitiyat who are also seeking to win points. In our case, we are looking to make up for the four points that we lost after draws against Al Sadd and Al Gharafa, especially since we put up a good level in the previous rounds.

“I congratulate my colleague Wesam Rizk on taking over his new post at Al Kharaitiyat. I wish him the best. This match, I feel, will be the most difficult for us during the last seven rounds. Regardless of the coaching changes taking place in Al Kharaitiyat, we have to go through the match with the same morale and enthusiasm that represents the characteristics of our team.

“Wesam knows our team well and I expect my side to respond to the challenge. They are low in rankings and are fighting to correct their course. We have to be careful,” said Younes.

Qatar SC player Elmehdi Barrahma said, “We are confident as we go into the next round of action. There is stability in our performance. There is a positive atmosphere in which the team plays these days. Certainly, it will be a difficult match, especially since Al Kharaitiyat seek to get wins. We, as players, are looking to implement the coach’s directives based on the responsibility entrusted on our shoulders.

“In general, we have no choice but to win our next match, especially since the preparations went brilliantly for us. We have reached a distinguished state of stability and harmony and we aspire for the best in the coming days. We have a wonderful group of professional and local players.”
