Lekhwiya’s Spanish Central defender Chico Flores is set to be out of action for at least 10 days, the club has announced.

Lekhwiya’s official website made the announcement on Sunday afternoon prior to the Red Knights shock 5-4 defeat to Al Ahli. The former Swansea defender underwent surgery at Al Emadi Hospital on Sunday and is expected to miss Lekhwiya’ s last QSL game of the season against Meisameer, along with a crunch AFC Champions League tie against FC Bunyodkor.

Lekhwiya have all but secured their qualification in the Qatar Cup competition, and will be hoping the experienced defender will be available for their semifinal match on Sunday the 24^th of April.
