Croatian head coach Luka Bonačić arrived in Doha on Wednesday evening, ahead of signing a contract to manage Al Ahli for the 2016/2017 season. The arrival was confirmed by Ahli vice president Khaled Shabib in a conversation with QSL online.<br />

“Luka Bonačić has arrived in Doha to go over the final details of the contract; we will make an announcement in due course following the conclusion of the negotiations” noted Shabib.<br />

Bonačić is no stranger to the QSL, having managed Al Shahania in the 2014-2015 campaign. He will be looking to improve the fortunes of Ahli who finished the season strongly, ending up in sixth place in the QSL standings.<br />

Concluding his interview with QSL online, Khaled wished all the best for caretaker coach Yusef Adam. “We wish to thank Yusef Adam for his efforts, he remains a crucial member of the staff at Al Ahli club.”<br />
