Al Duhail resumed their training after returning from the overseas camp in Austria, ahead of the start of new football season (2021-22).

The players had their first training session in Doha on Wednesday, 18th August, 2021, at the club’s training field.

Al Duhail’s website said the training would continue on a daily basis until the international players join their team-mates.

Al Duhail had played three friendly matches during their overseas camp, where they beat Austrian clubs Schwechat (2-0) and Admira (5-1) before losing to Albanian side Kukesi 1-2.

The Red Knights’ new Portuguese coach Luis Castro, who took over from Frenchman Sabri Lamouchi, is keen on preparing his players so that they face up to the challenges of new season.

Born on 3rd September, 1961, Castro is considered as a successful coach, having trained a number of clubs, the last being Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk.
