Al Rayyan midfielder Victor Caceres will be out for three weeks after suffering a muscle tear during his side’s Qatar Classico loss to Al Sadd.

The Uruguayan was substituted during the first half at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium as the Lions suffered their first defeat of the season.

Caceres underwent an X-ray at Aspetar which confirmed he will require treatment for the next few weeks and miss his side’s Round 14 encounter with Al Sailiyah.
Rayyan head coach Jorge Fosatti told reporters Caceres would only return to the side when he is 100% fit.
