Al Kharaitiyat Head of Football Mansoor Moussa has revealed in a exclusive interview with QSL online that Tunisian Head Coach Ahmed Al Ajlani is the number one candidate for the vacant Thunders role, after Kharaitiyat relieved Bosnian head coach Amar Osim of his duties in round six.

“After we have reached an initial agreement with the Tunisian coach, the final contract shall be signed upon the arrival of the coach. The duration of the contract is not determined yet” explained Moussa in a telephone interview today.

Commenting on the sacking of Amar Osim, he reflected: “Osim did his best efforts with the team and we would like to thank him deeply for the whole period he spent with the side. In fact, he developed the team significantly whilst with us. Unfortunately, he didn’t have luck this season and therefore it was time to move on.”

Moussa urged the football players to seek and benefit from the mistakes committed in the previous rounds and stated: “Al Kharaitiyat is better than this and we are awaiting more from the players. I urge them to be fiercer in the future games.”

Al Kharaitiyat is currently in twelfth place in the QSL standings, and will take on fellow strugglers Al Sailiya when the QSL resumes after the international break.
