Qatar’s football family joining hands on Sports Day
Qatar’s football family will get together on Tuesday, 13th February, to celebrate the National Sports Day (NSD).
The NSD falls on the second Tuesday of February every year. It aims to promote healthy lifestyle and physical activities among the citizens and expatriates alike throughout the year.
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Qatar Football Association and Qatar Stars League (QSL) are joining hands on the occasion by organising a football tournament for their employees at the Aspire Zone.
QSL CEO Hani Taleb Ballan said, “The Sports Day is a great initiative that brings together all citizens and residents alike, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. We look forward to a dynamic day that encourages us to practise sports throughout the year and not just on the Sports Day.”
QSL’s Marketing and Communications Department Acting Executive Director Hassan Al Kuwari said, “We’re very pleased to be a part of the football family on the occasion of the National Sports Day. This unique initiative helps towards having a healthy society. By celebrating this day, we, at the QSL, are reiterating our commitment towards promoting a healthy lifestyle among the community.”
